the annual
arts alive
picnic may have been driven inside by a fierce rain storm but it's spirit was certainly
not dampened. offered shelter in the home of briarcliff developer and man-about-town
charles garney
the party continued with jazz, juice and alacartoona.
the afternoon started with the bossa nova sounds of colleen cassidy with bob bowman & bow dog.
her band featured one of providence's favorite guitarists, danny embry. smooth, cool and
understated. oh, yes. second up was the harold o'neil trio. please join me in a rousing
yelp of, "hot!" these young men (two of which are seniors in high school) ripped it up. if
you have the chance to see them, don't hesitate.
but what does everyone want after enjoying hot jazz? hot sex, of course, which is where
alacartoona came in. mssr. garney seemed quite pleased to be the object of providence's
attention, while arts alive founder john hoffman watched on in what can only be described
as jealousy. kc jazz legend
david basse
caught his first glimpse of alacartoona--perhaps, if he's a good boy, he'll get
to see more of her. experience designer phil kinen broke hearts with reckless abandon
as he gave even archibald a run for his money with his stylish clothes and debonair manner.
the beautiful garney sisters, lisa and
anne,
were both on hand. one was an alacartoona virgin, the other not. we're not telling
which was which.
children's clothing entrepreneur
tiffany hankel
attended with her beautiful daughter, bishop. she took some photos which you can see below.
