roach
did it again. he brought together a disparate selection of artists, performers and musicians
to create the seventh installment of his hugely successful donkey show at
davey's uptown.
the theme this time was "pajama party" and entertainers and audience members alike got in the spirit by
dressing in teddies and long johns.
it's difficult to properly mention all of the talent that shared the stage with alacartoona but
some did burn so brightly that she absolutely must acknowledge them. first, a belly dancing troupe
known as
massive tassel
had the audience in the palms of their henna tattooed hands. these four fabulously sexy women
(m'chelle, alacartoona loves you!) took belly dancing to a whole other plain of existence.
next, dirt gallery founder davin watne showed another side of himself--the wa-wa pedalin',
glam rockin' super star side--fronting kansas city's funk sensation
emma feel. the rolling stones? ho-hum.
james brown? whatever. alacartoona will take emma feel any day.
finally, lethal d and toine rocked the house with the pork-hop beats and rhymes of
bacon shoe.
who else could rap about eating fried chicken, loving his woman and kidnapping bruce
springsteen all in the same song? that would be lethal d and only lethal d.
this was the first time alacartoona had ever encountered bacon shoe. it won't be the last.
join her as she cries out in joy, "my name is toine!"
