alacartoona is not one to kiss and tell and thus tends not
to share the details of the private parties she attends.
however, since this was an extra special night, she has
decided to be a bit more open.
the night was the doing of the kansas city
young friends of the symphony (yfs),
a wonderful organization that works to create a new generation
of fans for the kansas city symphony orchestra. to that end, they invited
pink martini
to town for a show with the symphony and an afterparty at
le fou frog.
sensing the potential for an evening of love, yfs invited alacartoona
to play the party.
china and ruby fell in love that night, spending hours huddled together
over a small, candlelit table, sharing drinks and talking of only
they know what. the boys enjoyed the company of the rest of pink
martini, the members of yfs and the special love of barbara and
mano raphael. needless to say, everyone enjoyed the brazen beauty
of tony "i put the glam in glamour" glamcevski.
courtney kern, one of the first photographers to ever capture alacartoona
