what could be better than a buffet catered by the best restaraunts of kansas city?
free booze and alacartoona, of course.
the moulin rouge party at the
hollywood room
was a decadent night of beautiful people gathering together to support a kansas city treasure,
the kc originals
and the independent restaurants they represent. present were owners, chefs and staff
from the who's who of fine dining in kansas city, and a plethora of food conniseurs who
wouldn't step foot in a chain if they were starving to death.
in a night defined by excess some events to stand out. for example, during the live auction,
the head chef of the american restaurant auctioned off a five course dinner for eight,
including wine, in her own home. and in a quiet corner near the oyster bar, providence forge
negotiated terms with the owners of cafe des amis. he was french. she was mexican.
they were beautiful and providence was in love.
