alacartoona loves many but is in love with few. missy koonce stands proudly in the second
category. if you don't know why, then you haven't been to
bar natasha.
this was alacartoona's official premier at the famed downtown kansas city
cabaret bar. one might expect a monday night to be slow but one would be mistaken.
every table in the house was taken, filled with celebrities, travelers, artists and otherwise
painfully gourgeous creatures.
peter altman took time out from the kc repertory
theatre to stop in for a drink or two. and that's exactly what providence gave him. the willowy
johnna lowther--power vocalist, sex goddess and bar natasha idol winner--enjoyed her first taste
of modern cabaret, as did harry's
crash davis. bob dorian made an appearance,
dapperly mustachioed and dressed to match. mike legleiter traveled all the
way from portland to prostrate himself at alacartoona's feet while andrea sumpter looked on with
lascivious approval.
if all mondays were this good, tuesdays would be saturdays and the u.s.
economy would grind to a halt.
