invest in alacartoona!
this was her battle cry on a night dedicated to american democracy. she asked her audience to choose
the evening's songs--either by vote or blind fate--but reserved the right to refuse their choices.
she gave speaches and recited poems. she stroked her constituents with slick words and soft fingers.
she fillibustered, she glad-handed and, most of all, she pitched for money. for she, much like
american democracy, was definitely for sale.
numerous lovelies came out on this fall night to catch a glimpse of her democracy in action.
artist
jon bidwell
gazed longingly upon her form, hoping someday to capture her as his muse. (silly jonny!
alacartoona will never be caged.) the palpably capable sheryl vickers was on hand, leading her
posse of vixens. edward "obey me" neer and tim "the white volcano" wikstrom
purred in the front row, while pete dulin, editor of
present magazine,
waved from the bar, hoping for a glance or maybe more. actors
jim gall & kelly kitchens were seated in the back of the room because their beauty was blinding the
other patrons. doc, alacartoona's over-fed, long-haired leaping gnome, dropped by with a gift of decorated
gourds and rounds of hot toddies.
finally, the beautiful michelle cotton was in attendance in her capacity as writer for kc stage. you simply
must read the
article
she wrote about the evening.
